Five people were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on U.S. Route 30 in Canton, according to police.

Lt. Dennis Garren, a spokesman for the Canton Police Department, said the crash occurred at approximately 3:49 p.m. on April 26 on U.S. Route 30 east near Raff Road.

Investigators determined a 2004 Pontiac struck a 2020 Kia, causing the Pontiac to overturn. The vehicle was carrying five occupants, four of whom were ejected during the crash, Garren said.

All five individuals in the Pontiac were transported to area hospitals. Authorities reported that none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.

The driver of the Pontiac was cited for reasonable control, according to police.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and assisted those involved. The crash remains under investigation.
