The Canton Water Department is actively working to repair the water line that supplies Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital. The line runs beneath Interstate 77.
As part of the repair process, steam is being used to cure the interior of the water line. Beginning around 1 p.m. Wednesday, drivers in the area may notice steam rising from the highway.
City officials say the steam is a normal and safe part of the repair process and is no cause for concern.
