A 76-year-old woman drove a vehicle into a building Monday morning, April 13, in Alliance, sending the car into an exam room at a local medical office, according to the Alliance Fire Department.
The crash was reported at approximately 7:45 a.m. at 1207 W. State St. Fire officials said the vehicle struck a physician’s office connected to a Cleveland Clinic facility and came to rest inside an exam room.
Authorities said the driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was able to exit the car on her own. Emergency medical services evaluated her at the scene, and no major injuries were reported.
The vehicle was later removed from the building by Mel’s Towing.
According to Alliance police, the crash is believed to have occurred after the driver mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake.
No additional injuries were reported, and the extent of the damage to the building has not been released.
