A new restaurant concept is set to open at Great Trail Golf Course next month, bringing a fresh dining experience to the Minerva area following the closure of Heritage at Great Trail.
Tee House Social, described as a modern, casual dining destination with a relaxed and social atmosphere, is expected to open in early April, according to a statement from co-owner Amanda Conrad.
The restaurant will be led by husband-and-wife team Jamin and Jess Powell and will retain much of the existing staff, including Sous Chef Silas Bailey. The team plans to roll out a limited menu initially as they transition into the new concept, with expanded offerings to follow.
Menu items will include house-smoked wings, Maryland-style crab dip, burgers, sandwiches, fresh salads and a variety of shareable dishes. The beverage program will feature signature cocktails created by Jess Powell along with a curated selection of drinks.
A key feature of the new restaurant will be its patio, which overlooks the golf course’s putting green, chipping green and driving range. Owners say the setting is designed to provide one of the area’s more scenic and relaxed dining environments.
The opening of Tee House Social follows the recent closure of Heritage at Great Trail, which first opened in early February.
In a March 10 social media post, Heritage ownership announced plans to close at the end of March due to ongoing medical complications faced by owner and Executive Chef Gina Vizzo-Bratu, who suffered a serious leg injury in April 2025. The post said Vizzo-Bratu required additional time to recover and could not maintain the standards the restaurant set for quality and consistency.
However, Heritage ultimately closed earlier than planned after a power outage caused a loss of food inventory. In a follow-up post, the restaurant announced it would not reopen, calling the closure “the final chapter” after what owners described as a year filled with unexpected challenges.
Despite the abrupt ending, Heritage owners expressed gratitude to the community for its support and indicated hopes for a future return.
Great Trail Golf Course has stated it will honor Heritage gift cards at Tee House Social once the new restaurant opens.
