Man shot, hospitalized during early-morning incident at Stark County strip club

A man was shot early Monday morning at a Jackson Township strip club, police said.

Jackson Township police officers were called to the Diamond Royale, 4675 Munson St. NW, at about 3:14 a.m. for a reported shooting, according to a media release from Police Chief Mark Brink.

When officers arrived, they found a 25-year-old man who had been shot once. Police said the suspected shooter, a 23-year-old man, had left the scene before officers arrived.

The victim was treated by the Jackson Township Fire Department and transported to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center for treatment. His condition was not immediately released.

Police said the suspected shooter has since been identified and is cooperating with the investigation.

The incident remains under investigation. No additional details were released, and police said there is no ongoing threat to the community.
