AEP Ohio: Power to be out in some areas until Tuesday

Some Ohio residents may be without power until Tuesday, according to a statement from AEP Ohio.

As wind gusts reached up to 60 mph on Saturday, hundreds of power poles were knocked down throughout the state.

AEP Ohio said Canton still has 120 spans of wire down and 19 power poles. Canton residents without power can expect to see restoration by 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Parts of New Philadelphia remain without power. The city’s power is expected to be restored by 10 p.m. Monday.

Steubenville – 3 p.m. Monday

Wooster – 1 p.m. Monday

Parts of Bucyrus/Upper Sandusky – 5 p.m. Tuesday.
