A Canton man was transported to Aultman Hospital after being stabbed in the rib area, Police Chief John Gabbard said.
Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Webster Ave N.E. for reports of a stabbing. When they arrived, they located Anthony Depalmo, 46, of Canton, with a stab wound to the ribs.
Depalmo was able to communicate with police and told them he was in a confrontation with a known suspect which resulted in him being stabbed.
The stabbing suspect, who remains at-large, was quickly identified as Terry A. Leach, 45. Arrest warrants were filed against Leach for Attempt to Commit Murder and Felonious Assault.
