A bridge in Pittsburgh collapsed early Friday morning just hours before President Joe Biden’s visit to the area to talk about the current infrastructure.

Officials with Pittsburgh Public Safety are urging people to stay away from the Frick park area because of a “strong smell of natural gas.” They said a gas line was cut.

Three people who were aboard a buss that was on the bridge suffered injuries, according to Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey. No fatalities have been reported.

The state’s Governor, Tom Wolf, said his team is on standby if they need to provide support to the ongoing situation.

“Pittsburgh residents: Please stay safe and continue to avoid the area,” he wrote on Twitter.
