Toledo Fire & Rescue responded to a home in Toledo for reports of a house fire Christmas Eve.
When they arrived on scene to the house on Fernwood Ave in Toledo, they saw heavy fire coming from the windows on the second and first floors of the structure.
Crews entered the home and found the an 11-year-old boy dead in a second-floor bedroom.
Five victims escaped the fire before crews arrived. Three of them were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries; the other two suffered no injuries.
The fire remains under investigation.
