Former Cleveland Browns receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is signing with the Los Angeles Rams.
The Rams then posted an official announcement of the deal late Thursday afternoon, after reports flooded in from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Kim Jones.
Schefter also reported a one-year deal between Beckham and the Rams.
Beckham was released by Cleveland last Friday after two-plus seasons with the Browns, in which he struggled with injuries and to fully connect with quarterback Baker Mayfield and the Browns’ offensive scheme.
The 29-year-old receiver currently totals 17 catches for 232 receiving yards and no touchdowns in six games played for Cleveland this season. He would join a Los Angeles receiving core that already includes talent like Cooper Kupp, who currently leads the NFL in receptions (74), receiving yards (1,019), and receiving touchdowns (10); and Robert Woods (45 catches, 556 yards, four touchdowns).
The Browns (5-4) do not face the Rams (7-2) at any point of their remaining regular-season schedule, and would only be able to face off this season via a potential Super Bowl matchup in February.
L.A.’s next game comes on Monday, Nov. 15 against the San Francisco 49ers in Santa Clara, while the Browns will host the New England Patriots on Sunday, Nov. 14.
