The Stark County Sheriff’s is investigating a car accident that left one person dead Wednesday night outside of East Canton in Osnaburg Township.
Officials said they responded around 9:50 p.m. to the 7000 block of Orchardview SE for reports of a single-vehicle crash.
Deputies determined the driver of a 2012 Chevrolet Impala was traveling eastbound on Orchardview Dr Southeast when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road. They said the driver ran off the right side of the road into a wooded area before striking a tree.
The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Stark County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Canton Metro Crash Team, the Osnaburg Fire Department, the Louisville Fire Department, Ambulance Associates Services, and the Stark County Coroner’s Office.
