The Canton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating an accident that occurred in Stark County Monday that left one man dead.
According to OSP, John Diamond of Tracy, California, was driving a 2007 Ford Explorer when his vehicle crashed into the back of a 2020 Freightliner Semi truck on US 62 E at the California Ave intersection.
Witnesses say that Diamond’s vehicle never slowed down before rear ended Ron Stalnaker’s semi truck.
Diamond died at Mercy Hospital. The crash remains under investigation.
The crash happened around noon.
