Canton Police and fire responded to a residence in the 600 block of Cleveland Ave SW due to a call about an unconscious man.
When emergency personnel arrived, the man was dead. Police said he appeared to be the victim of a homicide.
The victim was identified as Jeffery Loftus, 60, of Canton.
Detectives and the Stark County coroner were called to the scene. This is an ongoing investigation.
