A 36-year-old Hartville man died Nov. 1 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash the previous night in Portage County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The victim was identified as Joshua Keener.
Troopers said the single-vehicle crash occurred around 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, along Swartz Road, west of Congress Lake Road in Suffield Township.
According to investigators, Keener was operating a black 2014 Honda motorcycle when he traveled off the right side of the roadway while navigating a curve.
Keener was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained injuries that ultimately claimed his life the following day.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities have not released a definitive cause or indicated whether any additional factors contributed to the incident.
The Portage County Sheriff’s Office, Suffield Township Fire Department and Portage County Coroner’s Office assisted with the response and investigation.
