Carrollton opened its volleyball season with a three-set loss to Tusky Valley, falling 25-15, 25-18 and 25-17.
Juliaunna Miller led the Warriors from the service line with eight points and three aces while also anchoring the defense with a team-high 21 digs.
Berlyn Zimmerman led Carrollton’s attack with seven kills, while Carrie Hawk recorded a team-high nine assists.
The loss drops Carrollton to 0-1 overall. The Warriors have yet to begin Eastern Buckeye Conference play.
Carrollton’s junior varsity squad started its season with a victory, defeating Tusky Valley in straight sets, 25-19 and 25-20.
Lylah McCort led the JV Warriors with five kills and 16 digs, while Hawk finished with 12 assists.
The JV squad improves to 1-0 overall.
