A 63-year-old man died following a crash Friday night in Alliance, according to authorities.
The driver, identified as Tim Mathes, 63, was pronounced dead at 11:32 p.m. Friday at Alliance Community Hospital, information confirmed by Harry Campbell of the Stark County Coroner’s Office.
Alliance police said the crash was a hit-skip and occurred Friday night in the 600 block of N. Union. The suspect vehicle fled the scene after the crash, according to Alliance Police.
Police said the crash remains under investigation. No further details were immediately available.
