Two 19-year-old inmates were each sentenced to eight years in prison for attacking and knocking another inmate unconscious at the Indian River Juvenile Correctional Facility in March.

Jordan Worthey-Sturdivant and Carreyon A. Dukes were convicted of felonious assault after surveillance footage showed them slamming the victim onto his head and continuing the beating after a staff member briefly interrupted the attack.

A third defendant, age 20, was convicted of misdemeanor assault and sentenced to 180 days in jail with credit for time served.
