An 82-year-old man died Wednesday evening after his motorcycle crashed and overturned on state Route 241, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The patrol said Larry E. Durben was riding a 2011 Harley Davidson Tri Glide southbound near the intersection with state Route 93 just after 6 p.m. when he lost control of the motorcycle. The vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck a ditch before flipping and landing on him.

Durben, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken by the Brewster Fire Department to Aultman Hospital in Canton, where he was pronounced dead.

The crash remains under investigation. Reed’s Towing assisted at the scene.
