One person was injured and a suspect was taken into custody Thursday evening following a shooting in East Liverpool.
Police were called to the intersection of Eutaw and Montrose streets at 6:25 p.m. for reports of a shooting. Officers arrived to find a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The condition of the victim was not immediately known.
According to the East Liverpool Police Department, officers received information that the suspect had fled the scene in a vehicle. While attempting to locate the suspect, police received a tip from a member of the public that the individual was hiding behind a home on Avondale Street.
Officers located the suspect hiding under a porch and arrested him without incident at 9:48 p.m.
The investigation is ongoing.
