The Stark County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the Meyers Lake area Thursday evening.
Sheriff George Maier confirmed to Jordan Miller News that the incident was domestic in nature, leaving one person dead. Authorities are working to determine whether the shooting was a case of self-defense, though Maier stated it is too early to draw conclusions.
The incident took place at a home in the 1500 block of DeVille Avenue NW.
The identities of those involved have not been released, as the investigation is ongoing.
