McKinley High School and the Canton City School District (CCSD) announced Thursday that head football coach Antonio Hall has decided to step down from his coaching role to take on expanded administrative responsibilities within the district.

Hall informed his team of his decision Thursday afternoon, marking the end of a four-year tenure that Superintendent Jeff Talbert praised as pivotal for the program and community.

“Coach Hall has been a vital leader of the McKinley High School football program for the past four years, guiding the team through a period of significant challenges and transition,” Talbert said in a statement. “His commitment to the program and the students has been unwavering, and his leadership has been instrumental in helping to rebuild the team when the school and community needed it most.”

CCSD expressed gratitude for Hall’s dedication and contributions to McKinley football, emphasizing his positive influence both on and off the field.

“His passion for the students, both on and off the field, has left an indelible mark on the team and the school,” the district said.

Although Hall is stepping away from coaching, he will remain with the district in an administrative capacity, where he will focus on developing programs and community partnerships aimed at supporting students’ academic and personal growth.

“His experience and commitment to the success of young people will undoubtedly continue to have a positive impact on the students, staff, and the entire Canton community,” CCSD said.

The district wished Hall well in his new role and looks forward to the continued contributions he will make to Canton City Schools.
