An 18-year-old Kensington man was killed Thursday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on Township Road 224 (Lemon Road NW) in Carroll County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at approximately 2:18 p.m. when a black 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, driven by Ethan D. Pistory, was traveling eastbound on Township Road 224 near Township Road 225. Investigators said the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the centerline, and veered off the left side of the roadway, striking a tree.

Pistory just graduated from Malvern and RG Drage in the spring of 2024.

Pistory was transported from the scene to Aultman Hospital, but EMT Ambulance personnel pronounced him deceased before he arrived.

Emergency responders from the Great Trail Fire Department, EMT Ambulance, Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Brown Township Fire Department, and Deluxe Towing assisted at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
