Marlington and Strasburg volleyball teams are headed to the state tournament after securing regional titles on Saturday, continuing their impressive seasons and representing the Jordan Miller News coverage area.

Marlington captured the Division IV regional championship with a four-set victory, propelling them to the state semifinals. They will face Shelby on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Vandalia Butler High School.

Strasburg clinched their spot in the Division VII final four after a hard-fought five-set win over Caldwell. The Tigers, led by standout performances from Riley Thomas with 23 kills and five total blocks, and Ally Miller with seven kills and four blocks, overcame a strong challenge to win 3-2. Other top performers included Sierra Minard with 10 kills and Ella Gilkerson contributing eight digs and strong serve-receive stats. Strasburg will face No. 1-ranked Fort Loramie in the Division VII state semifinal at Wright State University’s Nutter Center on Thursday at 2 p.m.

The Division IV and Division VII championship matches are scheduled for Saturday and Friday, respectively, also at the Nutter Center.
