A Marc’s store in Alliance sustained damage Sunday afternoon when a car crashed through the front wall and window, stopping in the checkout area, according to the Alliance Fire Department.
Emergency crews responded to the store for reports of a Kia Soul that had driven entirely through the building’s exterior and into the checkout section, Fire Chief Jason Hunt told JMN. Both the driver and a cashier were injured in the incident and were transported to a nearby hospital. Authorities have not released information on the severity of their injuries.
Fire officials reported that, despite the significant damage, the building remains structurally sound. Marc’s staff began boarding up the damaged area shortly after the accident, handling the repairs internally.
The incident remains under investigation.
