The suspect shot and killed by FBI agents in Carrollton has been identified as a 25-year-old man.
Jacob Bible, 25, of Carrollton died after being shot during an encounter involving the FBI and the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, officials tell JMN.
The incident occurred on Monday, July 15, when FBI agents, in assistance with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, attempted to serve a warrant at a home in the 1000 block of Perron Road. The situation resulted in the suspect being shot.
Carroll County Sheriff Calvin Graham confirmed the shooting, which took place around 11:15 a.m. on Monday.
“The FBI is reviewing an agent-involved shooting which occurred July 15, 2024, at approximately 11:15 am in Carrollton, Ohio. One subject was wounded and transported to a local hospital for further treatment where they succumbed to their injuries. The FBI takes all shooting incidents involving our agents or task force members seriously. In accordance with FBI policy, the shooting incident is under review by the FBI’s Inspection Division. As this is an ongoing matter, we have no further details to provide.”

The FBI had requested the assistance of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office in serving the warrant.
