Raychel Sheridan, the 24-year-old woman missing from Stark County, has been found dead, according to Stark County Sheriff George Maier.

Sheriff Maier said Sheridan was found dead in a dumpster by Canton sanitation workers early Wednesday morning. Her live-in boyfriend, Sean Goe was arrested late Wednesday morning. He was wanted for previous domestic violence charges in connection to another incident related to Sheridan.

Extensive search efforts were deployed throughout the night. In the early morning hours, Goe was arrested at a local homeless shelter on an outstanding warrant.

Detectives determined Sheridan was murdered inside the apartment. Canton sanitation workers discovered the body inside a dumpster early Wednesday morning. The couple had been together for approximately two years, the victim’s mother told the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to the 4100 block of Orchard Dale Drive NW in Plain Township at 12:32 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, to investigate the disappearance of Raychel Sheridan, a 24-year-old woman from Plain Township. After an extensive search of the residence and surrounding area, Sheridan was entered into the national database as a missing person.

While at the scene, deputies observed a maroon Jeep Liberty, believed to be registered to Sheridan, traveling on Guilford Ave NW in Plain Township. They initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, 26-year-old Sean Goe, also of Plain Township. Goe fled on foot, prompting deputies to pursue and deploy a K-9 unit. Despite their efforts, they were unable to locate him. Goe was last seen in the area of 38th Street NW and Guilford Ave NW but he was located the next day.
