A multi-car accident at the intersection of Cleveland Ave NW and Tuscarawas St W resulted in the intersection being closed down for part of Thursday morning. A car involved in the crash went through a building downtown.
The crash happened just before 8 a.m. and involved three vehicles, witness say.
One of the vehicles involved went off the road and over the sidewalk before crashing into the Canton College Preparatory School on the corner of the intersection.
“It was an indescribable sound,” an employee of the school told JMN at the scene. “I was like what the heck is that?”
The crash happened right through the gym, but thankfully with school being out for the summer, no students were inside the school when it happened. The employee said kids would’ve been right there when the crash occurred if school was in session.
“Someone would’ve been seriously hurt,” she said.
