Jerome Thomas Love was arrested on Wednesday afternoon for allegedly stealing money from another gym member’s locker at the YMCA on South Union Avenue.
According to an Alliance Police report, Love, 32, was taken into custody at approximately 12:49 p.m. The victim reported the thefts, which occurred on May 1 and May 22. In response to multiple incidents, the victim installed small cameras inside his locker, which captured Love accessing the locker and taking money from a money clip in the victim’s jeans, the report reads.
The total amount stolen was reported to be $197, with $147 taken on May 1 and $50 on May 22. Love was at the gym when police apprehended him.
Following his arrest, Love was transported to the Alliance City Jail, where he was booked and later released after signing a Recognizance Bond. He has been scheduled to appear in court on June 3, at 1 p.m.
