Driver hospitalized after crashing into Canton house

In response to a two-vehicle collision on January 21, the Canton Fire Department was dispatched to 1036 Arlington Ave. SW. The incident involved one vehicle colliding with an occupied home, resulting in significant damage and a partial collapse of the front porch roof.

The female occupant of the vehicle that struck the home required extrication by fire crews. After successful removal, she was transported to Aultman Hospital with serious injuries. The male driver of the second vehicle emerged from the incident unharmed.

Despite heavy damage to the front porch, the impacted home remains occupiable.

The Canton Fire Department worked efficiently to address the aftermath of the collision and ensure the safety of those involved. Investigations into the cause of the accident are currently underway.
