Two individuals lost their lives on Thursday morning following a traffic crash at the intersection of Lincoln Way E and Locke Avenue NW, according to the Stark County Coroner’s Office.
At this time, the identities of the victims are being withheld until their families can be notified.
Both individuals succumbed to their injuries instantly, with their deaths being pronounced at the scene at precisely 11:28 am.
Harry Campbell, chief investigator with the Coroner’s office, revealed that the collision occurred when the woman, who was driving northbound across Lincoln Way, was struck by a vehicle traveling west in the middle of the road. The victims’ vehicle ultimately came to a stop in the parking lot of Diehl Honda situated at 3910 Lincoln Way E.
Additional information regarding the specifics of the accident is currently unavailable. However, the Perry Township Police Department is expected to provide further details pertaining to the crash in due course.
