Authorities are currently investigating a robbery that took place on October 16 when a caregiver and her male passenger were targeted by a masked man.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:55 p.m. in the 800 Block of Genoa Ave N.W.

According to the Perry Township Police Department, the incident unfolded when the caregiver’s vehicle experienced mechanical issues, forcing them to pull over to the side of the road. A masked white male approached the vehicle and forcibly took the male passenger’s wallet while the female victim was inspecting the car’s engine.

The female victim engaged in a physical altercation with the suspect. Despite her efforts, the suspect managed to escape the scene before law enforcement arrived.

Authorities have released a description of both the suspect and the suspect vehicle.

The vehicle in question is believed to be an older model black Jeep Grand Cherokee, featuring two red rear doors. It is worth noting that the suspect vehicle may also have red tape covering one of its rear taillights.

The suspect is described as a white male, standing between 6’1″ and 6’5″ tall. The suspect has a distinctive tattoo beneath one of his eyes, which appears to be either a cross or a tear drop.

The Perry Township Police Department continues to actively investigate the case, working diligently to apprehend the suspect and gather any additional evidence that may aid in their efforts.

Anyone with information regarding the incident or the whereabouts of the suspect is urged to contact the Perry Township Police Department. The public is reminded to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity to local law enforcement immediately.

As the investigation remains ongoing, further updates will be provided as they become available.
