The Sandy Valley Lady Cardinals volleyball team is moving on in the tournament after a three-set sweep of the Edison Wildcats Monday night.
The No. 3 seeded Cardinals wasted no time, winning the match 25-10, 25-19 & 25-19.
Zoe Ward led the Lady Cardinals with 38 assists in the win, becoming the career and single-season record holder for Sandy Valley in assists.
Lexi Tucci recorded 18 kills, while Demi Faiello finished with 11. Tucci finished with 10 digs and Gabbie Smith recorded six.
Tucci also led in the serving category with 17 points. Faiello recorded 16 points, including five aces.
The Lady Cardinals will be in action on Thursday, Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m. facing Tusky Valley at Union Local.
