A man was transported to the hospital early Tuesday evening following a small furnace explosion, according to Canton Division Chief Steve Henderson.
The man was working on the furnance located in the basement of a home in the 1600 block of Clark Ave. when it exploded. He was transported to Aultman Hospital with burn injuries.
It’s unclear whether the injured male lived in the home or was just working on the furnace.
The furnace explosion happened around 5:30 p.m.
