A pregnant woman was forced to jump from a moving vehicle Tuesday in the city of Massillon to prevent a man in the car from assaulting her.

In response to a domestic violence call just before 3:00 PM, Massillon police officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Arapahoe Rd. SE.

Upon arrival, officials from the Massillon Fire and Police departments encountered an adult female with apparent physical injuries. The victim, who identified herself as four months pregnant, reported that she had been assaulted by the father of her child while inside a moving vehicle. To escape the assault, she took the drastic step of exiting the moving vehicle.

Massillon Fire Department personnel provided on-site medical treatment to the victim. The suspect, identified as Anton Travick, fled the scene but was located shortly thereafter and taken into custody.

Anton Travick faces charges of (F5) Domestic Violence and (F4) Disrupting Public Service. Following his arrest, he was booked into the Stark County Jail.
