The Indian Valley Braves, ranked 15th in Division II, faced a tough match against the Sandy Valley Cardinals on Thursday at SVHS.

The Cardinals displayed a solid performance, securing a victory with a scoreline of 25-17, 17-25, 27-25, 25-12.

Zoe Ward stood out with an impressive 55 assists, accompanied by 9 digs, a block, and 3 points. Lexi Tucci contributed significantly with 24 kills and 2 blocks.

The Cardinal hitters showcased their skills, with Demi Faiello delivering 11 kills, Grace Haswell with 6 kills, and Alaina Heller and Teresa Petro each contributing 5 kills.

Gabbie Smith demonstrated her defensive prowess with 16 digs and 2 kills. Leading the serving efforts were Tucci with 13 points and Smith with 11 points.

With the win, the Cardinals’ record improves to 9-6 overall and 3-4 in the challenging IVC North division.
