A resident of Wilmot in Northeast Ohio, has struck it rich after purchasing a winning scratch-off ticket from the Ohio Lottery. Chandra Potschner’s purchase of two Billion game scratch-off tickets proved to be incredibly lucky, with one of them bagging her a second-tier prize of $1 million.

The winning ticket was bought by Potschner at Speedway #9314 on Erie Avenue in Massillon.

Despite being from Wilmot, she chose to purchase a lottery ticket in Massillon, unaware that this decision would change her life.

When given the choice between annuity payments of $50,000/year over 20 years and a lump sum, Potschner decided to opt for the $500,000 cash option. After taxes, her winnings amounted to $360,000.

Expressing her plans for the newfound wealth, Potschner disclosed to the Ohio Lottery that she intends to invest her money wisely.

The Ohio Lottery revealed that, as of Monday, there are still 84 second-tier prizes remaining in this particular game. The odds of Potschner’s win were strikingly slim, standing at one in 235,636, according to lottery officials.
