Police identify family of five, including 3 kids, found dead in Stark County home

Police are investigating the deaths of five people, including three children, found dead in a home Thursday evening in Stark County.

The Uniontown Police Department responded to a welfare check on Thursday, at approximately 7:31 pm at 13305 Carnation Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found five deceased family members within the residence. The incident is currently under investigation and is believed to be a domestic dispute that tragically escalated into a deadly confrontation.

The deceased has been identified as Jason Dunham, 46; Melissa Dunham, 42; Renee Dunham, 15; Amber Dunham, 12; and Evan Dunham.

All three children were students within the Lake Local School District.

At this time, investigators are treating the case as a quadruple homicide-suicide, indicating that there are no other individuals believed to be involved.

Authorities involved in the investigation include the Uniontown Police Department, the Coroner’s Office, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and the Stark County Prosecutor’s Office.
