Hikers came across a body along late Tuesday afternoon on the Zoar Iron Bridge.
The body, which was found by hikers on the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, had sustained a gunshot wound. Bolivar Fire, Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office and the Tuscarawas County Coroner, all responded to the scene.
Detective Captain Adam Fisher tells JMN that although there was a heavy response to the scene after the discovery, evidence suggests the shooting was a completed suicide.
