Shooting leaves two injured in Stark County, man arrested for attempted murder

A 23-year-old area man is facing charges for a drive-by shooting that happened early Sunday morning, according to a report from the Canton Police Department.

According to the report, the shooting happened around 2 a.m. on the morning of June 11. It’s alleged that Gregory Marciano, of 24th St NE, Canton, shot two people while driving in the area of 12th St NE and Gibbs Ave NE in Canton.

Both victims, who have Columbus-area addresses, were injured and sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The victims have been identified as Maurice DeAngelo Talbert and Lakeshia Ronnette Pittman.

Marciano is charged with Attempted Murder, two counts of Felonious Assault and Discharging a Firearm over a public road.

He is scheduled for arraignment on June 13 at 9 a.m.
