The highly anticipated 100th Annual Minerva Homecoming is just around the corner, promising four days of festive celebrations for residents and visitors alike. From Wednesday, June 14th to Saturday, June 17th, the town of Minerva will come alive with a series of entertaining activities and attractions.

The event will kick off with a lively parade on Wednesday, June 14th at 6pm. Participants who wish to be part of the parade can pre-register until June 13th at Designs by Terry Florist in Minerva during their business hours. Alternatively, registration can also be done on the day of the parade at the Minerva Fire Station from 3:30pm to 5:15pm. A nominal fee of $5 will be required upon registration. The parade will commence at Minerva Elementary school, proceeding south on Bonnieview, west on Line St, north on Market St, east on Lincoln Way, and concluding at Minerva High School.

Thursday, June 15th promises an evening of thrilling rides, as an Unlimited Ride Special will be available from 6pm to 10pm for only $12. Attendees can enjoy a variety of exhilarating attractions throughout the evening.

On Friday, June 16th, the festivities continue with a Line and Square Dance event featuring renowned caller Jeff Haynam. From 7pm to 10pm, participants can gather and showcase their dance moves to the lively tunes.

Saturday, June 17th offers a perfect day for families and friends to enjoy the Unlimited Ride Special from 4pm to 6pm for an affordable price of $10. After 6pm, the wristbands will be priced at $17. Attendees can also look forward to live music performances by the talented Timmy the Boy band, known for their alternative indie and pop music, starting at 6pm. Later in the evening, from 7pm to 10pm, the Vintage Country band will take the stage, creating an enjoyable atmosphere for all music enthusiasts. Additionally, local drawings and raffles will be held at 10pm, adding an element of excitement to the night.

Throughout the entire event, attendees will have the opportunity to indulge in delicious “Lion” burgers, available from 11am to 10pm, at the pavilion on the midway. The midway, along with the community building, will open nightly at 6pm, providing a vibrant hub for entertainment. On Saturday, the midway will open earlier, at 4pm, allowing for extended enjoyment. Admission to the midway is free, making it easily accessible to everyone.

The amusement rides at the event are provided by the reputable Kissel Amusement Company. Attendees can choose between purchasing a $17 wristband, valid for Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, or individual tickets priced at $2 each. For those seeking a longer adventure, ticket packages are available, offering 10 tickets for $20 or 20 tickets for $30.
