The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into an accident that occurred in Orange Township Sunday night. The incident took place at approximately 7 p.m. along Township Road 127.

According to authorities, the driver involved in the crash has been identified as Jacob Lundberg, a 33-year-old resident of Bowerston. Lundberg sustained minor injuries in the accident and was subsequently flown to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation and treatment.

Preliminary findings suggest that Lundberg was traveling westbound when his vehicle veered off the left side of the road, colliding with a tree. It has been determined that alcohol impairment played a role in the incident, according to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office. Charges are currently pending against Lundberg as the investigation progresses.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol urges all motorists to prioritize responsible driving practices, including abstaining from driving under the influence of alcohol or any impairing substances.
