A three-vehicle collision occurred on US30 near Milepost 30, west of Minerva Sunday evening, prompting an investigation by the Canton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The incident happened at approximately 10:16 p.m.. It involved a 2020 Ford station wagon, a 2012 Mitsubishi four-door sedan, and a 2008 Chevrolet Impala.
Preliminary findings from the initial investigation indicate that the crash resulted in minor, non-life threatening injuries to several occupants, including two minor children. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the injured individuals to local area hospitals for medical attention.
Investigators say the at-fault driver is Angel L. Currence, a 49-year-old resident of Minerva.
Currence has been charged with Operating a Vehicle Impaired (OVI) and Assured Clear Distance Ahead (ACDA).
The affected roadway was reopened to traffic at 12:46 a.m.. Investigations into the crash are ongoing as officials seek to gather additional information.
