The Minerva High School girls’ relay team delivered an outstanding performance, earning them the title of regional champions and a ticket to the state track meet. The team, composed of Hera Hoffee, Hannah Ison, Kayla Crissman, and Annabelle Crissman, displayed their speed, setting a new personal best time of 9:39. Their impressive achievement secures their spot in the upcoming state competition.
The Minerva boys’ 4×800 relay team put up a fierce fight, resulting in a fourth-place finish. The team, consisting of Rowen Hoffee, Mason Steele, Ryan Cassidy, and Grasyn Rettig, secured their qualification for the state meet.
In other track and field news, Carrollton senior Brock Smith showcased his talent in the long jump event. With a jump of 21 feet 3.5 inches, Smith secured a fourth-place finish. His performance earned him a well-deserved spot in the state competition, where he will have the opportunity to showcase his skills once again.
