Canton man hospitalized after shooting at local park

According to Canton Police Chief John Gabbard, police received a dispatch call about a shooting at Nimisilla Park in Canton Wednesday night around 8:07.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that the victim, Travis Massey, 34, of Canton, had been taken to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital by a private citizen.

Massey sustained a gunshot wound, which police say was not life-threatening. He was able to converse with detectives.
