Fox News and their biggest show host are parting ways, the company said is a statement Monday.

“FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways,” the company said in a statement on Monday. “We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”

The move comes a week after Fox News settled a defamation lawsuit for $787 million dollars with Dominion Voting Systems. Dominion had accused Fox News of recklessly airing false election claims and conspiracy theories following the 2020 presidential election between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.

Fox News said Carlson’s last show was on Friday, April 21 so there will be no send-off for the well-known host.

It’s unclear if Carlson and Fox News’ split is related to the massive defamation lawsuit.

Carlson’s show was one of the highest rated cable shows across the country.
