A day after Easter, five people were killed by an active shooter in Louisville, KY, according to Louisville Metro Police.

The shooting happened inside a bank, according to witnesses.
“I had heard the gunfire and glass,” one witness said. “I turned and saw that one of the windows in the bank had been blown out. “
Police say suspect was later ‘neutralized.’

In addition to the five people who were killed, six others were transported to the hospital with injuries.
Police report that that the first calls came in about the shooting around 8:30 in the 300 block of E. Main at the Old National Bank in the downtown area.
There is no longer a threat to the public, according to police.
