Norfolk Southern remains at the top of the headlines following a deadly traffic collision Tuesday morning.

The train and a dump truck collided on a Norfolk Southern rail line just after 1 a.m. Tuesday morning in the 2600 block of W. 3rd St, according to an official with Cleveland-Cliffs Cleveland Works – a local steel company.

The Norfolk Southern employee who died has been identified by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office as Louis Shuster, 46, of Broadview Heights.

The Cleveland Police Division of Police Accident Investigation Unit say they were dispatched to the area for a “vehicle striking a train with a fatality.”
