Authorities identify, charge woman accused of crashing car into a house, killing man while impaired

The woman who authorities say crashed her car into a house in Green while intoxicated, killing a sleeping man, is facing multiple charges.

According to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, Hallie Maczko, 32, of Green drove her car into a Barth Road home last weekend while under the influence of alcohol and narcotics.

Maczko’s car crashed into the bedroom of Robert D. Shull Jr., killing the 69-year-old.

The 32-year-old driver is facing charges of driving while intoxicated and aggravated vehicle homicide.

Maczko remains in the Summit County jail awaiting arraignment.
