The man who died in an Alliance fire on Thursday has been identified as a 55-year-old.

Frank Rowan, 55, was unable to escape from the South Arch St. home that went up into flames shortly after noon, according to the GoFundMe page.

The Alliance Fire Department continues to investigate the fire that killed Rowan and forced two other occupants of the home to escape onto the roof.

Three people were inside the house located at 1335 S. Arch Ave when the fire began. Two of the occupants escaped onto the roof, but the Rowan was later found dead inside the home, according to Alliance Fire officials.

When crews first arrived to the house fire just after noon, the house was fully involved. The fire then spread to a neighboring structure.

Sebring responded with a ladder truck to battle the blaze.

The Ohio State Fire Marshal is now investigating the fire, according to officials. The cause of the fire is unknown pending investigation.
