Canton Police investigating pair of gas station armed robberies

The Canton Police Department needs your help identifying a suspect accused of robbing a pair of Canton gas stations over the last week.

According to Police Chief John Gabbard, the first robbery happened around 7:45 a.m. on Jan. 17 at the BellStores located at 3812 Cleveland Ave N.W. when a black man in a block hoodie, grey pants, white shoes and in a black face mask approached the store clerk, showed a handgun, demanding money and left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The next day on Jan. 18, Chief Gabbard said the same subject entered the Circle K at 2535 Fulton Rd N.W. at 5:33 a.m. and robbed the clerk at gun point. He then fled the store on foot after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash.
